Our December 2023 Humble monthly just released bringing 8 more games to add to our collections.
This month for $17.58 (CAD) we find ourselves with an impressive $249.92 worth of games if bought on steam and $184.14 if bought on humble. Humble is lower again this week because of a few sales and because The Gunk is not available on Humble. I couldn't find it in the store.

Of the games we got this month, I’m most excited to launch up Last Call BBS but also saddened by part of its description. I’ve been a huge fan of Zachtronics for a long time and they’ve announced that Last Call BBS is their final game. I won’t go too deep into that right now cause I plan on doing a post on Zachtronics in the next couple of days. RIP Zachtronics :(
![gameplay preview of The Gunk](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/eb8504_02bcb5fd64da4d369316526b69dfef44~mv2.gif/v1/fill/w_620,h_349,al_c,pstr/eb8504_02bcb5fd64da4d369316526b69dfef44~mv2.gif)
The Gunk is also something that’s hitting hard on the want to play. One of my favorite types of games are stylized 3D platformers. And while The Gunk isn’t one, it gives off the same vibes of what draws me to those. I can not get enough of it’s art style. And it does seem to kind of have some minor 3D Platforming Elements.
Next was tough. It was definitely a toss up between The Pale Beyond and Expeditions Rome. Expeditions Vikings has been a game I’ve wanted to play for a long time and Rome is made by the same Developer. But then The Pale Beyond hits hard in the survival simulation genre that I can not get enough of and it looks like it has some really interesting mechanics that I want to try out.

After that im not too sure what I would play next. From Space looks like a fun quirky multiplayer game to play with friends, Nobody Saves the World from initial appearance gives “if Castle Crasher was a top down hack and slash rpg” vibes.
![screenshot from the game Midnight Fight](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/eb8504_0126354441f546a0a4dded49ec884379~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_551,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/eb8504_0126354441f546a0a4dded49ec884379~mv2.jpg)
And Midnight Fight Express looks like it’s ready to deliver some unique action beat-em up gameplay that I haven't seen in a while.
![Screenshot from the game Elex II](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/eb8504_ccabd4ea92804a419acac4c19aff6423~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_551,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/eb8504_ccabd4ea92804a419acac4c19aff6423~mv2.jpg)
But what I know for sure is I don’t have much interest in Elex II. I saw a friend stream a bunch of the first one and it was.. Something special. It had a lot of interesting quests. But other than that, it didn’t have much else going on for it. It wasn't terrible. But it felt like it was released early before it’s development properly finished.
And how did things go from last month?
Not great. Didn’t pick up a single one. And have now fallen further behind on catching up on all the games I haven't played yet. Woops. Hopefully we do better this month. But in fairness, I did get the December games at the start of the month. And its only been half a month since getting Novembers bundle. So I think I can catch a little bit of a break on this one. What about you?
