I wanted this game to sweep me up off my feet and whisk me away into the fantasy genre, where I could be mesmerized by its story, characters and surrounding world. Unfortunately it was only able to hit 1 of those 3, leaving me disappointed for this game review.

While the game’s managed to pull off the 2D sprites on a 3D environment in ways I never could have thought imaginable, there aren’t any other redeeming qualities of this game except for its opening sequence.
Watched the opening cinematic, I was captivated by everything it delivered and what it felt like it was promising me. Exciting and distinct visuals, a classic fantasy RPG plot subverted by a new direction, a world potentially rich with characters and schemes working behind the scenes. It was setting things up for it all

To bad it was all a charade. Or at the very least, 90% of the work on this game went into the first 5 minutes and then everything else felt like hastily cobbled together templates with a sticker of “all done” slapped onto its packaging.
I guess when the developer said that 80% of the story was done at this point, the developer actually meant that 80% of the story already in the game is all they feel like doing with it.
In my opinion, story is one of the most important things in an RPG. And Metthink dropped the ball hard here.
But they did equally as poor of a job in the gameplay as well. There’s nothing new here in the game. It’s your classic RPG set up with all the same moves and abilities you would expect to find just with less.

After the lack of story, the second biggest crime this game commits is the pacing of foes you face. You go from fighting goblins and bees to a colossal fire breathing dragon. Oh, and one of the most important artifacts the heroes collected in the intro cinematic, you just find laying on the ground in the middle of a forest. Doesn’t seem that important to me now.
For the single hour of time we have to play this game it went from one of the most exciting moments I've had starting up an indie game into a dreadfully terrible experience. I wish there was more we could talk about with the game but it’s “80% done with the story” only lasts for an hour of gameplay.
The one aspects where the game seems to do something new is by bringing in the ARPG skill trees that have become popular in top down hack-n-slash games but even, that’s still broken and adds no value or meaning to the game. If you still aren't convinced to pass on this game, I've also got a YouTube review of it here:
